My sister and I stayed in the stargazer tent over a weekend in August for a music festival in Aspen. Location was great - just a short jaunt away from Carbondale but you felt "way out" in the wilderness. This is glamping - so rustic but comfortable. We loved waking up to the horses and seeing the dogs. Pam was a delight! Easy to find and the perfect getaway!

We'll spend 10 days in Colorado, staying in 3 different 5 star hotels and cedar ridge ranch. We'll not remember any of the hotels but we'll be talking and CRR for the next 10 yrs. There's no TVs, there's no room service and you are in a tent. You will hear the birds, the crickets, the horses outside and the farm dogs.....and it's amazing. It is a working farm so you need to slow down a little and go with the flow. But sitting on the porch of our tent looking at the milky way is better than any concierges.
The tents get cold so pay attention to the instructions on how to use the electric blankets. But man we slept so well. It's a great location for activities, we fished, rafted and trekked. We also went horse trekking with Merrill. My wife and I have practically no horse experience and our son is autistic. She handled it all in her stride.
We travelled a long way and were apprehensive, it wasn't the safe bet of a big name of a hotel chain, but thank God we did. It delivered something none of those can ever aspire too....

My horseback riding lesson with Merrill was more than a reintroduction to the basics of riding after a long hiatus from the saddle. Merrill was a very attentive instructor who helped me connect with the horse and remember what it means to communicate energetically.
The whole experience was very empowering and almost magical as I truly remembered why I loved being around horses so much in my youth. I highly recommend Merrill as a riding instructor and Cedar Ridge's incredibly well trained, patient and healthy horses!

This review is specifically for anyone considering booking a riding lesson with Merrill…DO IT! Merrill made dreams come true for my horse loving daughter and her best friend. They had the best time and I could really see that Merrill knows exactly what she is doing in her work with such large beautiful animals, and with small beginner children. I’m so glad we were able to gift my daughter this experience and I would totally recommend it to any parent or grandparent of a horse loving kid.

Just a wonderful place! I came with a friend and our 3 young daughters for a weekend. Pam made us feel so comfortable and well taken care of. The glamping tent we stayed in was so lovely and cozy. There were plenty of fun activities for the children. Highly recommend and we will be returning in the future. Thanks again!

Such a beautiful & fun glamping experience. Great accommodations & well thought through. The only suggestion is it would have been nice to know that the owner’s dogs have free rein to run about which was stressful at times with our dog. While our dog was leashed the majority of our stay, she doesn’t well with dogs unfamiliar to her, approaching her which resulted in a scuffle & having to chase the dogs away several times.

The most special place... We have been riding up and down the valley over the years and finally found Cedar Ridge Ranch. The horses are so very loved, respected and cared for in this peaceful setting. Merrill has a true gift for facilitating connection to self and the world through her beautiful horses, many of whom have been rescued. We learned so much from Merrill and Honey and cannot wait to come back next year. Thank you!

My fiance and I visited the ranch for a weekend getaway to run away from the stresses of our never ending house maintenance issues. The property is an absolute gem. Pam and her family have a piece of paradise out there, and we were so stoked that they shared a little bit of it with us.
They're absolutely lovely folks, and their animals are beautiful, friendly, and so entertaining. All of our worries washed away while we were there. Hope we find the time to make it back one day!

Just a superbly wonderful experience from start to finish. Wonderfully warm and generous hosts. Incredible accommodation. Breathtaking views. The children adored the animals. We all loved the games room. It's also a fantastic base to explore Carbondale or Glenwood springs (the roller coaster park and the hot springs are a must). We went to our first rodeo. I rented a mountain bike and found some amazing trails really close by. I can't say enough good things. We would stay again in a heart beat.
