Meet Izzy – Sold
Beautiful Bay Mare foaled 4/2011. Great confirmation, very “Cowy” and has been used for ranching, trail rides, pleasure riding. She has great agility and “go”. She would be great for a barrel prospect and has a long life ahead of her and will be a great partner for the experienced rider.

Jojo is a gorgeous mature quarter horse mare who is lively and fun to ride. She can go bareback, western, and or english. She has competed in Ranch Horse Versatility and all around in open shows. She is a fun mare to ride who is sensitive and responsive. She is currently available for a full or half lease $350.00 or $700.00.

“Honey” is a beautiful Palomino mare. Very sweet and fun to ride! She is a great little jumper and loves the kids. Fun to ride as an adult or kiddo. Honey is up for lease starting March 1st 2020. Videos to come.
The old adage of ‘a match, not a catch’ when dating, also holds true when choosing a horse.
Growing up, I had always dreamt of having a horse, but my parents held fast and responded to my pleas with a resounding “no”. Fast forward to being an adult with a child of my own. I was with my daughter at the Kansas City Stockyards showing her the horses and telling her how I had always wanted a horse. When she said, “Mommy, why don’t you buy one”?, It dawned on me that no one was standing in my way and I could! The very next day, I did just that! Of course, I did everything in the reverse order I should have. I found a trainer and got my horse vetted after I bought him. He ended up having a debilitating degenerative disease. It was heart breaking and I also spent a lot of money trying to help him. He ended up retiring to the pasture and eventually passed away. All this could have potentially been avoided if I had consulted a trainer first. In the fall of 2016 I did just that. I consulted with a horse trainer, Merrill Johnson, of Cedar Ridge Ranch. She familiarized herself with my needs and assessed my skill level and my goals. She found a horse that fit me. She first looked at the horse’s confirmation, temperament and medical records. She rode the horse and observed her performance and skill level as well as familiarized herself with the horses’s history. Merrill helped me to determine a fair purchase price and facilitate a smooth transaction. In addition, she helped gather the necessary paperwork and helped with the filing of the new ownership papers. She guided me from start to finish. I am very happy with the purchase of my horse and I have full confidence in Merrill’s matchmaking capabilities!
